Learning for Elul, Part 1: Tefillah

The month of Elul begins on Shabbat, August 15 -- the beginning of the period of repentance and reflection that leads up to the High Holidays. This week, Rabbi Geffen will kick-off a three-part class addressing Tefillah (Prayer), Teshuvah (Return), and Tzedakah (Righteous Acts), which will include learning piyyutim (liturgical poems) that we sing on the High Holidays. All classes will be held after kiddush lunch.

Shiur Hashavua for Hebrew Speakers

Hebrew speakers are invited to participate in our monthly shiur on parashat hashavua, given by Roy Alcalay and Hadas Fischer-Rosenberg during kiddush lunch. Hebrew proficiency is required, while text familiarity is not.

Chai Minyan Services & Shabbat Dinner
Friday, August 28: 7 pm

Join the Chai community on August 28 for Kabbalat Shabbat Services and Dinner. The entire Chai Minyan and Shaare Zedek communities are welcome. Services begin at 7 pm, followed by dinner.
