Sukkot and simchat Torah Festivities

The High Holy Days at Shaare Zedek are just the beginning! Tishrei continues with joyful celebrations of Sukkot, Shmini Atzeret, and Simchat Torah.

  • Location: Unless noted below, we will be meeting at the Franciscan Community Center, 214 W. 97th Street. Please make note that we will be meeting on the lower level of the FCC on weekday holiday mornings; otherwise, all Shabbat services will take place in the main level auditorium.

  • Lulav & Etrog: Please be sure to purchase your lulavim before the holiday. A limited number of extra lulavim and etrogim will be available at services.

  • Meals in the Sukkah: We will not have access to a sukkah for meals, which prevents us from making kiddush together. We encourage those of you with sukkot to invite other community members into your homes for meals. Please also take advantage of open hours at the sukkot at Ansche Chesed, B’nai Jeshurun, The Jewish Center, JCC Manhattan, and other local Jewish organizations.
